BSI Technical Committee LBI/30 - “Cleanroom Technology”
PURPOSE
The UK participation in the preparation of cleanroom standards (BS EN ISO14644 series, BS EN ISO 14698 series and PD6609) is through BSI technical committee LBI/30, which has the responsibility to:
- aid enquirers to understand the text
- present to the responsible international/European committee any enquiries on the interpretation, or proposals for change, and keep the UK interests informed
- monitor related international and European developments and promulgate them in the UK
ORGANISATIONS REPRESENTED
There are approximately 12 nominating organisations on the committee with about ten active committee members. Nominating organisations include, ABHI, Health Protection Scotland, Heating Ventilating & Air conditioning, Institution of Mechanical Engineers, Parenteral Society, Scottish Society for Contamination Control and the Society of Environmental Engineers.
COMMITTEE MEETINGS
The committee meets 2/3 times a year at BSI in London. Committee members communicate via the BSI eCommittees System.
