A Course on

CLEANROOM TESTING

Over the last few years S2C2 has run a successful course on how to test a cleanroom. The course has proved to be of value to :

During this session instruction will be given on the following topics:

  • The reasons for validating a cleanroom and validation philosophy
  • How a cleanroom air conditioning plant works
  • Validation standards
  • Air volumes and velocities
  • Differential pressures
  • Infiltration of contamination into the cleanroom
  • Air movement control within a cleanroom
  • Air filter integrity tests
  • Particle measuring methods according to ISO 14644-1
  • Microbiological measurements
  • Cleanroom conduct
13:00 – 14:00            

Lunch

 

Please note that this year there will be NO Practical Demonstrations in the afternoon

The cost of this course including notes, lunch and tea or coffee is £170.38 (£145 + VAT).  Non members are required to pay an additional £19.97 (£17 + VAT).

Bill Whyte

has been involved with cleanrooms for over 35 years, having published over 100 reports and papers about pharmaceutical manufacturing, electronics and healthcare. He has also edited a book ‘Cleanroom Design’, and written a new book on ‘Cleanroom Technology - The Fundamentals of Design, Testing and Operation’; both published by J. Wiley & Sons.  He has the useful advantage of a BSc in Microbiology, and a DSc in Engineering.  He is the founder of the Scottish Society for Contamination Control, and a member of the standards organisations writing the new British, European and International Cleanroom standards. He has extensive industrial consultancy experience.
