"The biggest and best contamination control conference in the UK in 1999"

Informative - new ideas, new slant on old ideas, exchange of ideas with others
Exhibition - a chance to meet with some of the providers of services and equipment
Socially sparkling - an evening of informal activity
Technological - keep up to date with developments in the technology

Stimulating - you will go away from the conference with new ideas to apply in your workplace
Specific - the courses are arranged at three levels. You can go in at 'introductory level' to an area you are unfamiliar with, or at 'advanced level' to an area where you have considerable knowledge
Comprehensive - in two days there are limits on range and depth, but we aim to do as much as possible
Challenging - what you make of the Conference is up to you, but we will do our best to provide the best environment through the lectures, the exhibition and the opportunity to meet other specialists to help you achieve your targets

exhibition

A table top exhibition will accompany this conference where you will have a chance to discuss your requirements for products and services with the manufacturers and providers.

social

There will be a Social Evening on Wednesday 2nd June - another chance to meet with the experts, exhibitors and S2C2 committee on a less formal basis. There will be a Buffet (with free drinks) from 18:00, and the bar will be open until 22:30. The night life of Birmingham is reputed to be excellent, so if you have tired of talking cleanrooms by 10 o'clock, there are plenty of places in the city for you to continue to party.

the city

Birmingham is in the centre of England. It has good rail communications with the whole of the UK (only 80 minutes out of London with trains every 30 minutes). The airport has direct links with 40 cities worldwide. The airport and station are less than 10 minutes walk from the Conference venue. It's also at the hub of the English motorway system, and car parking at the NEC is free.

the country

If you are bringing a partner who is not attending the Conference, or you have a few extra days either before or after for a short break, there is plenty of scenic or historic interest within easy reach - ranging from the National Motorcycle Museum to Shakespeare's houses.

tourist information
