The Presenters

 

Bill Whyte

Bill has the useful combination of a degree in bacteriology and a strong engineering background, being a research fellow at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, University of Glasgow. He has published over 100 reports and papers on contamination control, as well as editing a book "Cleanroom Design". He is a member of the British Standards Technical Committee and International Standards Organisation writing the new European and International Cleanroom standards. He has extensive experience as an industrial consultant.

Ken Goldstein

Ken Goldstein is a principal with Cleanroom Consultants, Inc. He has been involved in the planning and design of cleanrooms and high purity systems for the past 20 years with experience with Texas Instruments, Advanced Micro Devices and several engineering design firms. He is an active member of IEST Working Groups 12 (Cleanroom Design) and 28 (Minienvironments). He often teaches at technical meetings, trade shows and short courses in a number of venues around the world.

Bob Spector

Bob Spector is Group Manager, Cleanroom Garment Services Group of Prudential Cleanroom Services. He is currently Technical Vice President for the Contamination Control Division of the Institute of Environmental Sciences and Technology (IEST), and Chairman of the IEST Working Group 003 (Garment System Considerations for Cleanrooms and Other Controlled Environments).

Gary Knoth

In his present position as Senior Principal Contamination Control Engineer, Mr. Knoth is responsible for a wide range of contamination control programs. He has been involved with contamination control since 1975, when as a mechanical facilities engineer, his assignments included designing cleanrooms and high purity water systems. Mr. Knoth is chairman of IEST CC RP WG-027 (Personnel Practices and Procedures in Cleanrooms and Controlled Environments) and a voting member of several other IEST CC RP Working Groups.

Tim Coles

Tim Coles has been in isolation technology for 15 years, and during that time has worked for La Calhene, Cambridge Isolation Technology and MDH (now TPC Microflow). He is currently Isolation and Containment Specialist with GRC Consultants of Alton, Hants. Last year he published a new book - "Isolation Technology - a Practical Guide"

 

Andy Parker

Andy has over 10 years experience in the design and construction of complex mechanical services systems. He is currently Head of Department - Mechanical Services at AMEC.

George Pollock

Formerly of IDC, George now holds the position of Executive Design Manager at M+W Pearce.

Mark Seymour

Formerly of Hunting Engineering, Mark joined BSRIA in 1988 responsible for a section using empirical and numerical techniques for HVAC design assessment. In 1992, Mark joined Flomerics as Product Manager, FLOVENT.
